David Copperfield is back for performances at the Hollywood Theatre inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Scheduled performances run from September 7th through the 13th, 2011. Mr. Copperfield’s show then resumes from September 28th through October 24th, 2011. Performance times are Sunday through Saturday 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. with additional Saturday matinee performances at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for all performances.

David Copperfield’s name has been before the public several times this summer.

David Copperfield versus Harry Potter:

Mutual fans of both Copperfield and author J.K. Rowling were delighted when a spoof video surfaced which showed David Copperfield, in rare comical form, issuing a Cease and Desist order to J.K. Rowling claiming that her Harry Potter books “ripped-off” the story of his life. In the popular spoof video he had said: “I tried calling J.K. Rowling to sort this out but she’s too busy buying castles to fill with money.” He continued with: “So I have no choice but to cast a litigation spell.” Copperfield then uttered some magical words as his Cease and Desist letter floated out of an envelope before coming to a gentle rest in his hand.

David Copperfield returns to the Las Vegas Strip in performances at the Hollywood Theatre inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Scheduled performances run from August 5th through the 24th, 2011. Performance times are Sunday through Saturday 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. with additional Saturday matinee performances at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for all performances. David Copperfield has been named Magician of the Century and Magician of the Millennium. He has performed for worldwide audiences, Emmy award-winning televised events and on Broadway in “Dreams and Nightmares.” He was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is the first living illusionist to be honored with that distinction. The United States Library of Congress awarded Copperfield with the Living Legend award. Forbes describes Copperfield as being the most commercially successful magician in history.
